Just realised I've not put any pictures of my new Defender up yet

Well here she is, "Lara" the 2001 Tomb Raider 110. They only made 400 of these world wide and apparently only 100 were double cabs like this one

It came from the factory with over £7k worth of extras, like the full external cage, more spot lights than you know what to do with, alloy parts everywhere and a rather hefty winch. The previous owner fitted the monster bull bars but they are about to be replaced with slightly smaller ones.

and of course like all my Defenders it had to have bucket seats

So far I'd love to say it's been a great truck, but last month it had a total mechanical melt down and needed a load of it's running gear replaced due to very poor servicing by the last owner. Loads of internal bits were in shocking condition (both front hubs were full of rusty water, not the grease they should have been), the steering links were about to fail and the transfer box was leaking oil into the handbrake - so it stopped working totally! That and a load of other little niggles that eneded up costing a fortune. And the winch decided to almost catch fire when I tried to use it - but it looks like it's not been touched in a few years!

It'll be mint by the time I'm finished with it though

I've also binned the standard crap head unit for a nice Sony unit that sucks your ipod inside it instead of having a CD player, fitted a few more alloy toys inside, swapped the monster steering wheel for a smaller Loto-Lita leather one and fitted a cover to the rear bed to stop it filling up with water / snow while I'm offshore.

check out this cool iphone app

http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/trackcam/id441701487?mt=8

Mount your iphone in your car and film. You can put overlays on the screen like G-force speedo race tracks ect.

You mount the phone to the car, then press the cog button. Then press the sync button. Go back to video and start filming. Once you have finished filming press the cog button again and touch the data logging items you want. drag them to where on the video you want them. Then press the icon in the bottom left them export to you phones photo files. When you play back the data logging will work on the video you took. It films in 720p too.

Would be even better if you could turn auto focus off on the iphone?
