Got mine from fleebay as iggy calls it. Oil temp, Water temp, and Boost gauge, one was £30, another £40, and the most expensive one was £50, all three for less than the price of one new, beat that. I bought the link meter new £123. Again on ebay, from japan, they're still on there I was looking the other day for two more.

As careful as I was with warming up & cooling down my RB320, I didn't have any gauges fitted & think I always gave more of a warm up than was required.

But with them as standard in the GTR, I wouldn't be without them & it displays & monitors so much;

Oil temp,

Oil pressure,

Water temp,

Transmission temp & pressure,

Fuel flow & pressure,

Braking force G,

Lateral G,

Steering angle, to name but a few!! :biggrin:

Get as many gauges fitted as you can. The Toucan kit is very good & used by a lot of modified high power builds from - http://www.jti.uk.com

How much of a warm up is enought for the rb iggy ?

Difficult to say, but dependant on cold start temperature.... I used to give circa 7-10 miles before going over 2500 rpm!

I also changed my oil & filter every 6 months, (3.5-4k miles).

When re-built, not only was the clutch & fly wheel in near perfect condition, the engine internals looked like new, with NO oil stain! :good:

But still up-graded to an AP Organic clutch, seeing as it was out!!

All of which i'm sure the new owner is appreciating :wink:

Would a defi water temp gauge not read the same as the standard dash temp gauge?
